How do I get started with DriveDrop?

Getting started is simple:

  1. Download the DriveDrop app from the App Store
  2. Sign in with Apple
  3. Create your profile and choose a username
  4. Generate your unique QR code
  5. Display your QR code on your vehicle
  6. Start receiving drops from other drivers!

How do I scan someone's QR code?

You can scan QR codes in two ways:

  • In the app: Open DriveDrop, tap the Scan tab, and use your camera to scan the QR code
  • On the web: Visit the URL shown on the QR code (e.g., drivedrop.me/scan/username) in any browser

No account needed to scan—just point your camera or visit the link.

What are "Drops"?

Drops are short messages (up to 100 characters) that you can leave for other drivers. You can choose from predefined messages like "Nice Ride" or "Clean Setup," or write your own custom message.

Drops are delivered instantly and appear in the recipient's DriveDrop app.

Can I change my username?

Your username is permanent once set. This ensures your QR code always works and people can always find your profile. Choose carefully when creating your account.

Is DriveDrop free to use?

Yes! DriveDrop is free to download and use. You can create an account, generate your QR code, scan other codes, and send drops—all for free.

We may offer premium features in the future, but the core functionality will always be free.

How do I report inappropriate content?

We take content moderation seriously. If you receive an inappropriate drop:

  • Tap the drop in your Drops list
  • Select "Report" or "Flag"
  • Our moderation team will review it

What is DrivePass?

DrivePass is our gamification system that lets you complete challenges, earn badges, and level up your profile. Complete challenges like "Scan 10 QR codes" or "Receive 5 drops" to unlock rewards and show off your achievements.

Do I need to be logged in to scan QR codes?

No! You can scan QR codes and leave drops without creating an account. However, creating an account lets you receive drops, track your stats, and participate in DrivePass challenges.
